Kumata
No, Kumata is not an abstract game.
It is a thematic strategy game, which features a clash between clans of wild animals in a jungle universe. The gameplay includes a unique layering mechanic and a touch of randomness in tile selection each round.These elements clearly distance it from abstract games, which rely on pure mechanics, without theme or randomness.

Yes! Kumata is accessible from ages 8 to 99. By age 8, children generally have the necessary skills to understand the rules and play independently.
Kumata relies on a simple domino-inspired mechanic, enhanced with a unique layering touch. The result: a quick learning curve and a stimulating gaming experience, even for the youngest players.
Claude Leroy.
Claude Leroy is the inventor of the famous Gygès. A living legend in the world of abstract games, who is part of the beginnings of Cosmoludo. He is also the author of Hokito , Mana and Pantareï.
Behind Kumata, there is also the passionate work of Andréa Farkas and Tom Delahaye, who co-developed the game with Claude. Together, they tested, adjusted, and refined every detail to bring the game to life in its best form: the one you can now find in stores.
Mary Maka.
Mary Maka is an illustrator, animator, and animation director. Kumata marks her first venture into the world of board games. Inspired by nature, fairy tales, and mythology, she creates a poetic and dreamlike graphic universe, instantly recognizable. Today, she works in a variety of media including illustration, animation, directing and sculpture.

Our abstract games
There is not a single and unique way to define what abstract game is, but here are the main points:
👁 A game with complete information, all elements of the game are known to the players.
🧠 No room for chance, reflection reigns supreme.
👥 Most often, only 2 players or 2 teams compete against each other.
🔄 Players take turns.
🏆 The best strategy will always prevail except in the case of a tie. Or cheating of course..
The most well-known among them are probably Checkers, Chess, Awalé, or the game of GO.
Our games are divided into 3 levels of different categories, which allows for a Cosmoludo game for everyone!
BEGINNER
Kamon and Oxono are perfect for those who love Connect 4 or Uno. They will bring you the same feelings of satisfaction, but even more intense because they are more strategic. Fun guaranteed for the whole family.
Ideal for beginners and non-players
🌶️ INTERMEDIATE
Yoxii and Hokito are perfect for those who love to analyze the board and build their strategy by anticipating their moves in advance. After one or two games, you instantly feel the depth of the game, which makes you want to play again right away to counter your opponent's traps and close yours at the right moment. Beware, addiction felt after the 2nd game.
Ideal for duelists

Mana and Pantareï are the most advanced in the range because here you will ideally need to anticipate 2 to 3 moves ahead to play and set up your strategy. But rest assured, you can easily play it with your friends because the rules are very simple. A good disconnection of 10 to 20 minutes guaranteed ♟️
Ideal for fans of abstract games
Yes, our abstract games are accessible from the age of 8. At this age, children generally have the necessary school foundations to understand the rules and play independently, as with Checkers or Chess. Of course, each child develops at their own pace: some will be ready before 8, while others may benefit from a little help for their first games.
The rule book included in our abstract games is available in 9 languages: French, English, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, and Czech.
Note that for the game Oxono, the rules are not available in Polish or Czech.

Yes, we ship our abstract games from France and work with reliable partners to ensure fast and secure delivery.
🇫🇷 Within France: We offer home delivery via Colissimo or pickup point delivery via Mondial Relay.
🇪🇺 To Europe and internationally 🌏: We offer home delivery via Colissimo and Bpost or pickup point delivery via Mondial Relay for eligible countries only.
Delivery times vary depending on the destination and the selected shipping method. You will receive a tracking number to monitor your order’s progress in real-time.
🇺🇸 Shipping to the United States is temporarily unavailable. U.S. authorities have changed their import regulations without specifying the exact procedures. While we await further clarification, our shipping service to the U.S. will be suspended starting August 23, 2025.
Delivery times depend on the carrier and your destination:
- In France, with Mondial Relay, delivery is generally made within 3 to 5 working days. With Colissimo, expect 2 to 4 working days.
- In Europe, shipments generally take 3 to 7 working days.
- Internationally, delivery times range from 7 to 10 working days, depending on the destination country.
